Tel Aviv is home to a few Railway Stations and while they are built in a similar concept, each of them is special in their own way. To help you get around the stations quick and stressfree, this guide will include the most useful information for trips from Tel Aviv Savidor Center station.
TEL AVIV SAVIDOR
Tel Aviv Savidor is a major railway station on the Ayalon Railway in central Tel Aviv, Israel, serving most lines of Israel Railways. It is located at the Ayalon Highway at the Arlozorov interchange, with bridges over the highway linking passengers to a large Tel Aviv bus terminal to the west and the Ramat Gan Diamond Exchange District to the east. It has three island platforms serving a total of six tracks.
In 2018 a northern access terminal fronting Modai’i bridge opened, adding a third passenger entry and exit point out of the station and facilitating additional access to the Diamond Exchange District.

- Jerusalem (Travel time: 47 minutes)
Travel to Jerusalem in just 47 minutes on Israel’s railway. From the station, head to the vibrant Mahane Yehuda Market, located about a 15-minute walk away or easily accessible by the Light Rail. Explore the local flavors and the lively atmosphere of one of Jerusalem’s most famous markets. From there, continue along Jaffa Road, one of the city’s main streets, known for its shops and cafés. Follow the route toward the historic Old City or take the Light Rail till the station “City Hall”. Wander through ancient streets and visit the sacred Western Wall.

- Haifa (Travel time: 1 hour 15 minutes)
Discover Israel’s beautiful northern coastline in the vibrant port city. Many of the city’s highlights are easily accessible from the train station. A short walk brings you to the lively German Colony with restaurants, cafés and restored 19th-century stone buildings. From here, you’ll reach the lower entrance of the famous Bahai Gardens. Continue to the Haifa Port, where the waterfront offers views of harbor. Nearby, you’ll find the Turkish Market, with small shops and cafés.
- Akko (Acre) (Travel time: 1 hour 40 minutes)
Travel to Akko, one of Israel’s oldest cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historic Old City is around a 20-25 minute walk from the station. Along the way, you can visit the Turkish Bazaar, the Al-Jazzar Mosque, the charming fishing port, and the famous Templar’s Tunnel.
- Be’er Sheva (Travel time: 1 hour 15 minutes)
The vibrant capital of the Negev Desert, where modern city life meets ancient history. Just a few minutes from the station, you’ll find the Old City, the Carasso Science Park, and the Negev Museum of Art. The station is also near the BIG Be’er Sheva shopping and entertainment complex, making it easy to enjoy restaurants, cafés, and shopping. As the gateway to the Negev, Be’er Sheva is also the perfect starting point for exploring Israel’s spectacular desert landscapes.

Heading to or from the airport? Reach the airport from Savidor in just 22 minutes with a direct train connection – one of the easiest ways to travel between the city and the airport.

While you relax, head to the station’s spacious entry hall and take in the spectacular views of Tel Aviv’s skyline through the windows.
The “Library at the Station” is a free book lending service at the train stations. This service simply allows you to read and enjoy the wait at the train station and while traveling on the train. It is also possible to borrow books at one station and return them at another station. The “Music at the Station” project was launched in 2015 by placing pianos in train stations throughout Israel, with the aim of creating a quality stage for musicians of all types.

- No trains operate from Friday afternoon until Saturday evening or on Jewish holidays
